About us

Welcome to Kennel Carddicted, Cardigan Welsh Corgis

We are a small Kennel situated in the countryside
about 1 hour drive outside Stockholm.

Malins house, Vadhammar, and some dogs!

So who are we?

We who runs this kennel are Malin and Ragge. We have known
each other for almost 15 yaers now. We met during a riding week in the Norwegian
mountians and have been best friends ever since then.

Malin
I'm the one who lives with most of the dogs in the big red house, Vadshammar,
out in the countryside. I'm the one behind these this webpages.
I have a past in the computer and advertising business but now works at a phyciatric ward.
In my job I can sometimes take with me some of the dogs, Frost is an excellent Theraphy dog.

Me and two dogs

I have grown up with dogs. My family had two Dachshunds when I was born.

Later on, we bought two Cavalier King Charles Spaniels.
After a couple of years with no dogs in the household, and only the company of my
friends Giant Schnauzer and Ridgeback I felt it was time for a new
companion in my life. After some research and reading about breeds,
I found Cardigans, and haven’t regretted it for one minute.

First meeting with Frost

All our dogs live inside the house as fully family members. We take at least two walks
a day in the beautiful sorrundings around the house.

Kennel partner Ragge

Ragge lives with Musti in an apartment just outside Stockholm, but comes
out to Vadshammar at least two weekends per month.

He knew hardly nothing about dogs before Malin bought her first Cardigan, Frost.
With Frost as a first dog, he learnt fast though.

Ragge and Musti

The dogs and the kennel is a way of life, but we both have a lot of other interests.

Malin loves to travel and has been to over 50 countires all over the world. She also loves
to read, dive, cook good food and drink good wines.

Ragge is a bookoholic and a fantastic photgrapher. He has recently discovered
that he's also an excellent carpenter.

Our ambition is to breed mentally good and healthy dogs, true to their standard.

One of the best features of the Cardigan is its huge personality.
The Cardigan has lots of character with a good sense of humour,
and will adapt to most life styles with ease.

Today they mainly live as family pets, but many have
succesful careers as tracking, obedience and agility dogs.

We have grown to appriciate and love this very unique breed and
can't imagine life without one.
